adidas Originals: Your Area

Brief

Build a tool that local markets can use to publish locally relevant content to their local audiences. (At this time, the Facebook Targeted Publishing didn’t exist.)

Solution

We concepted & launched a Facebook first (and an adidas first) – developing a way for the adidas global brand page to deliver locally relevant coverage, both for fans and for the brand to manage internally. This was the predecessor to Facebook’s targeted publishing feature. We developed an API that could target by language settings and country settings of the fan. A CMS tool was built to allow for local markets to manage their content distribution.

A twitter feed was also built to pull in any chatter about adidas Originals in the fan's city. And a product tout was built to highlight locally relevant product ranges.
